anyone heard of them, im gunna get some as their only 2 quid...
they are little bits of rupper that you put on the tips of your sticks to quieten your kit down

Why are the yamaha stands so expensive? I was about to buy the single braced stand medium weight untill i found out it was 60 POUNDS! I went for the mapex XL-forge or whatever they call it, its a very very good medium weight cymbal stand, it far exceeds my lightweight stagg stand

Erm, maybe because they're immensely strong and stable? Worth every penny, I can't imagine ever using a lighter weight stand again. In some ways I regret selling four of them!

The tama silent tips are good, play on any surface without damaging it or making much noise...no need for a practice pad.

the look like a better idea then padding a whole kit, depeding on how quite u want the kit.
i find that yamaha stands slip, the booms on the them always become loose, at a gig once on the stands they came out of place 4 times!
otherwise there very good

No lightweight/mediumweight stand is worth 60 pounds
I think lightweight should be 25-30, mediumweight 30-40, heavyweight 40-50, all stands above that are a waste of money

Er, yeah, right... there is no such thing as a lightweight stand in the Yamaha line, but even so, you really have no idea of the value of money and such things, Hugh... but then we knew that you have no clue about most things weeks ago
