They have been one of the most eagerly awaited products in history and now they are finally here - the Zildjian Gen16s!

A completely new innovation and a new instrument in their own right, these are the worlds first Electro/ Acoustic cymbals and they really have to be seen and heard to be believed!

When used as regular cymbals these are roughly 85dB quieter than traditional cymbals and still sound great. These would be ideal in a quiet environment or rehearsing with other acoustic instruments as they would not over power or spill through the mix like traditional cymbals can. In a practice setting these would also be ideal and a great way not to annoy the neighbours!

Where these cymbals are truly innovative though is there ability to be used electronically. Imagine playing your electronic kit with it's great feeling drum pads whilst riding on a Gen16 20" Ride. Feels great doesn't it?!

You can put these cymbals through a mixing desk and have exactly the sound you want that you have already selected from the controller and be able to control them easily from the desk.

Don't worry about the sizes of the cymbals also, just change the way they sound from the brain!
