Pearl Masters Maple Premium Shell Pack in Piano Black 22/10/12/16F

For more than twenty years, the Pearl Masters range has been synonymous with some of the world’s greatest drummers such as Jeff Porcaro, Dennis Chambers and UK drumming icon Ian Paice.

The Masters range now comes with a choice of three maple shells.

The long-established MMP range uses a 4-ply maple shell (5mm) with 4-ply reinforcing rings (5mm) yielding a rich, deep tone.

The new Masters Premium Legend (MPL) is formed from an open (ie no reinforcement rings) thin 6 ply shell (5.4mm) designed to give the flexibility needed by modern drummers, particularly in the recording studio.  They offer great warmth and tone.  The natural resonance of the shells is further enhanced by the light-weight “Fat Tone” hoops.

The Masters MCX has a thicker (7.5mm) 6-ply shell which has a full, warm tone.

All Masters drumshells are constructed using Pearl’s Superior Shell Technology process (SST), which incorporates a heat compression process to enhance both the strength and tone of the shells.
